History

The Meli Melo bedspreads are crafted from a patchwork of four different handwoven cotton fabrics. The various cotton panels come together in a joyful harmony of prints and colours, transforming the patchwork into a true artistic composition, enhanced by contrasting topstitching that highlights the overall design.

Lightly padded, Meli Melo features a subtle quilted effect that adds extra charm and comfort. On the reverse, the design becomes more understated, showcasing just two prints. Both decorative and functional, this bedspread is designed to cover the bed in its entirety, bringing character, texture, and softness to the bedroom.

This unique piece brings together several traditional crafts: handweaving, the Indian art of Kantha embroidery, and carefully placed fabric borders that echo the patterns and colours throughout the design.
