The Pily pendant light is available in two versions: in rattan and bamboo or in rattan, bamboo and recycled abaca paper.

The Pily rattan and bamboo pendant light is a play of arabesques and intertwined knots that make it a unique creation. Its making calls on the ancestral know-how of Filipino artisans from the Opol region, who use their skillful fingers to give birth to this goldsmith's light: behind this globe that spreads a warm light in your interior, it is more than a hundred handmade knots that allow the structure to hold itself, and under an apparent fragility hides, on the contrary, a masterful force in the development of the work...

Our design process

Delicacy: this is the word that evokes the Pily suspension in rattan, bamboo and recycled abaca paper.

This light fixture, all arabesques and plays of materials and light, requires great attention to detail on the part of the Filipino artisans from the Opol region who make it: first in the creation of the structure, which requires constant attention and lots of small pliers to hold the work in place before tying the plant fibers together.

The application of recycled abaca paper.

A flagship product of the Philippines, it is first cut according to a unique template before being glued onto the sphere. Hence this absolutely enchanting play of light that occurs when the light turns on: through the prism of the paper that unfolds on the rattan and bamboo, sometimes overlapping, the light is more or less intense and warm... Which makes Pily so graphic and fascinating.
